This past Sunday morning, I went out to shoot my friend, Sam Llodra, in collaboration with a jewelry company on Etsy known as All The Tiny Pieces. The majority of the day involved taking pictures and finally catching up over a cup of coffee at Southern Grounds in Neptune Beach. Our coffee shop conversation was both insightful and full of warmth.
It was refreshing to shoot with Sam again. I enjoy how she is understanding about my creative mindset due to her own personal talents involving ceramics, printmaking and drawing. She also isn't afraid to climb a fence and pose in a pool with a snake that is coiled up only a few feet away from where she is standing! If you're interested then some of her art is up for sale at this link here.
All in all, it was a nice day to produce photos and I even experimented with a few different methods for framing and lighting. I will always put pressure on myself to perform better ((who doesn't?)) but, sometimes I need to remind myself to take a deep breath and sink into the moment. Luckily for me, I felt pretty anchored during this set. You can find a preview of the photo set below.
