Cedar Key, Florida

There's nothing like a weekend trip to take your mind off of things and reconnect with a close friend that you haven't seen in months due to the natural account of long distance. I didn't take as many photos as I honestly could have but, these select few images summarize the weekend enough. I spent all of my time with these two brothers. We've been friends for about 6-7 years now and I'm eternally grateful for it.

We started off our festivities with dinner and drinks the night before and deep sea fishing the following day. It was a killer time and my fishing performance was better than it has ever been in the past. Also, I may or may have not reeled in the biggest catch of the day and learned how to clean my very first fish. We literally had lines snapping and rods bending as we tried reeling heavy, stubbornly strong fish into the boat.

The next day, we packed lunch and drinks to kayak 7 miles round trip to an island across the channel. It was there that we attempted to explore trails but, were unfortunately faced with a massive dark cloud of angry mosquitoes. With no bug spray, we were out of luck and ran to prevent ourselves from being covered in bites. Nevertheless, we continued to hang out on the beach and setup a hammock over the water on our journey back to the house.

Every good trip feels as if it's not long enough. If only time travel were developed then I would do it all over again.
