Much Needed Update

It’s funny how you can have a blog but, you can also forget about how much time has passed between posts. Guilty as charged. I’ve been busy learning, growing, developing, and ultimately trying to figure things out. No one can prepare you for the journey after college, which is completely unpredictable.

In August, I decided that it was time for me to move on from my job. During the process of looking for a new job, I was reminded of the enchantment and mystery of the other side. I was selected for an interview, asked back for the second round, and nailed it. This all happened during my process of moving into a new apartment too. I know - it was A LOT to handle. I had some vacation time to spare and decided to take a quick Father/Daughter trip to Tennessee.

I was lucky enough to have my Dad on this trip because it was planned in less than 24 hours. Who doesn’t love Airbnb and the power of the Internet? We stayed in Chattanooga, TN, which was within close proximity to the trails and waterfalls that we were interested in seeing. The first full day was spent at Cloudland Canyon State Park. We hiked for a little over 5 miles (West Rim Loop Trail) and 1,200 sets of steps to see the falls. The following day was spent at Benton Falls where we hiked 3 miles and then proceeded to go kayaking for 2 hours at Lake Ocoee.

Anyway, the photos below pretty much sum up the trip. It was just the kind of getaway I needed before starting my new job and I am grateful for the memories that were made with my Dad.
